3SO Rocks Crue Fest 2 w/ Rev Theory & Cavo

On Tuesday July 21, 2009 after much anticipation by the band and many WMMS 100.7fm listeners, 3SO took the side stage sponsored by Monster Energy Drink to open Crue Fest 2 at Blossom Music Center; along with Rev Theory, Cavo, 16 Second Stare and Shram. And it was a blast!

That early afternoon we met up with the Monster Crew for set up and we have to say by far they were the most professional and easy going stage crew we've ever seen. So, much love and top hats off to Digga, Chris and their entire crew.

It was very mutual to meet up with Rich and the rest of the guys from Rev Theory; this being the 3rd time we have played with those guys. We all jokingly said third times a charm, might as well just take us on the road. It was a nice moment to be shared. I (Justice) definetly have to say it was a pleasure to share the stage with all those bands; for the simiple reason that each one of them are busting their humps just like us to live the life of music and we applaud them all.

I think the only real issue of the day was that originally we were informed that our set would begin at 5pm; but that afternoon we were informed that it was pushed forward to 4pm. So, we scrambled to get the word out so that our fans can get to see us play. We want to apologize for those fans that did not get to see us that afternoon. We do hope that you did enjoy the rest of the concert for it was awesome.

Despite the last minute time change, all went very well. They did scare us though when they mentioned that we may only get to play one (1) song. And they weren't kidding. But, Digga (Da Man) let us rip for 20 minutes. We hope he did not get into too much fire for that call he made. But we thank you for it.

Getting to socialize with touring bands is always inspiring and lesson learning. One thing I definetly learned was that for most, not all, but most bands on tour are like ducks in the water. Everything appears great, relaxing and calm on the surface, but down below there is a whole mess of things going on (Both good and bad). So my comment to all bands on the road; Keep pushing my brothers and enjoy the journey regardless of the ending! The journey may not be the purpose, but its definetly an important factor.

The best part of being apart of Crue Fest was witnessing the love and support from our fans and followers. If not for you, we would have not played to such a great crowd, especially because of the change in performance. Many thanks and much love and respect goes out to our managers G-Management and the entire crew of the Iron Saddle (Gina, Devan, Tonya, Bree & Haley) as well as Mike, Eddie, Katie, Jenn, and Kurt (Condom Boy), for getting the people and distributing all those CD's for us. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Of course, because of our awesome time at Crue Fest, a last minute decision to have an after party at The Iron Saddle went off without a hitch. The best part was that both Shram and 16 Second Stare showed up as well. It was killer! 16 Second Stare even took the time to jam with us at the saddle. We hope to be able to tour Florida with those boys in Spring next year! So, be on the look out! All in all, the day was spectacular, the opportunity to be seen and perform at Crue Fest was amazing and we are so looking forward to our own little tour beginning in August. So keep posted 3SO fans and we'll be in touch!
