3SO Performs with Candlebox at Ohio Bike Week

Well, after an amazing time performing for hundreds of people at the Broken Spoke Saloon in Sandusky as part of the BAS Broadcasting Battle of the Bands, we found out late yesterday evening that we won said contest and will be peforming with Candlebox at the Sandusky Fairgrounds during Ohio Bike Week 2009.

The show was fun despite the fact that a minute into our song "Beat You Down" all of the microphones cut out! The guys were awesome and kept on playing as if nothing happend. Once I ran across the stage testing all micrphones, I decided to play me some air guitar on stage and jump around with the music like a freak. LOL. Its a show and it was one hell of a good time. The sound tech finally got the mics working at the ending seconds of the song which was nice. So, just to add some of my own fun, I decided to climb up all PA speakers and sing the next song, just to make certain that they knew not to leave the sound booth just in case the sound should go out again! It was hilarious. I also scared the crap out of a few people.

Flashbacks of me falling off the Roc Bar stage and busting my head open on the concrete floor came to mind. HA HA HA!

All was good though, we had a blast all the way until the end. It was a real pleasure meeting up with the other bands that were competing in the contest, Lonsome Pony band, Flash House, Power Trip and The Zeppos. All these bands were great and we encourage everyone to check them out!

I do want to thank the guys from Lonsome Pony for being really cool about us playing our cover of "Born to be Wild" by Steppenwolf, in honor of Ohio Bike Week. Lonsome Pony was the first band to perform that day and had did their version as well. Unfortunately, a lot of people did not get to hear how good it was, so we felt the crowd should hear it just one more time that day.

Then before the evening ended, I made certain that my ass was whipped by Kristi the Bartender of the Broken Spoke. She was such a sport; she pulled my belt off with her teeth and made me assume the position and whacked my ass! I never knew Metal could feel so good. Pictures are available to see on our Myspace and Facebook profiles.

Well Kats and Kitties, another great day has ended and its time to go. And, before I forget; Cleveland, Ohio, BE SURE to come see us peform at the Wheels of Steel Benefit concert on Sunday June 28th. Tickets are available at www.wosw09.com. Get discount tickets by using Promo Code "3SO".
